Established in 2004, Argia Designs has provided innovative landscape design solutions for our residential and commercial clients throughout California for over ten years.

Our goal is to create beautiful outdoor living environments that challenge conventional notions of garden design, reduce our impact on the environment and reflect the unique personality of our clients. 

We design beautiful outdoor living areas in styles ranging from modern to traditional with special focus on:

  • livable outdoor spaces
  • drought adapted gardens and water management
  • native habitat gardens
  • rainwater catchment and retention
  • runoff reduction and permeable hardscapes
  • soil ecology – healthy gardens without fertilizer

Morgan Vondrak, Owner and Lead Designer

Morgan Vondrak is a landscape designer, consultant and speaker and owner/lead designer at Argia Designs, a California landscape design and consultation firm specializing in sustainable landscape design since 2004. A native Californian, Morgan has designed residential and commercial gardens, landscapes and hardscapes throughout Southern California and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Morgan obtained her sustainability certification through the G3 Group in 2012 and blends a lifetime of interest in the environment with artistic expression in her work. With California's water shortage and the acute demand for regionally appropriate, drought-tolerant, and native landscaping, Morgan's designs are proof of her passion and dedication to sustainable design and conservation.

Her work has been featured in UT San Diego’s Home and Garden Magazine and has won "Best of Houzz" in both Design and Service in 2015/2016.  Morgan has been a featured speaker on sustainable design at the San Francisco Flower and Garden Show, the Landscape Industry Show, the Del Mar Fair Garden Show, and numerous HOAs and garden groups.  She works with non-profit groups including the Surfrider Foundation, the US Green Building Council and the California Native Plant Society to spread awareness about the importance of water conservation, runoff reduction and other sustainable design practices.
